Inspiring Hope is a day dedicated to volunteer to help build sheds for families impacted by the wildfires in Sonoma County. The day is set aside to provide hope, help and healing.
Families are struggling to find a new sense of normalcy. As they go about trying to restore their lives they need to begin addressing their rebuild needs.
A shed allows families to have a place to store items that are currently being shuttled back and forth to their property. A shed allows for them to have a secure place to store items that will be needed onsite.
This will also encourage families every time they visit their property that hope is being restored and building will begin soon.
Any qualified homeowner who was not covered by their insurance company for replacement.
We will only be providing 100 sheds. The first 100 families who qualify on a first come first serve basis will receive a shed at no cost. All sheds will be delivered and set up.
* More sheds may be available at a future date.
Shed registration is now closed. All sheds are spoken for. It is our hope that we will be able to do a second shed build to meet the demands in the near future. Thank you to everyone who has applied.
Volunteering has never been easier. But first, here are a few things to know to get you inspired to serve.
Inspiring Hope is a family friendly event. This means children ages 10 and above can work on the project providing Dad, Mom or an additional family member is onsite to supervise the child.
Each of the shed build team will consist of 4-8 members and will be will be connected to a homeowner for the day working side by side.
All volunteers are required to register as teams and must complete the Liability Wavier.
What to bring- Gloves, Hammer, Impact Driver, Tape Measure, Tool Belt or a Nail Apron, Small Pry Bar, Square, Safety or Sun Glasses, Hat, Sun Screen (some tools will be available if needed).
Most of all we ask that you come with an attitude of gratitude to serve and ready to have some fun and to enjoy a day of Inspiring Hope!
If you can't make it to the Inspiring Hope Shed Build we have other options for you to still be a part of the Recovery Program.
1) You can become a Prayer Partner.
2) You can become a Church or Corporate Partner
3) You can come and serve on one of our rebuild projects here in the Northbay.
